With over 20 years of lending experience, Martin brings a refreshing change to the finance broking space. After many years of working as lender for the big banks, Marty knew there had to be a better way of doing business that genuinely put clients’ best interests first and didn’t leave them feeling bamboozled. His business, NBS Home Loans, was founded in 2017 around one simple principle: Straightforward loans with NO BS! He is also a JP and fully-licensed Real Estate Agent.

Beth joined NBS Home Loans in 2019 after 17 years in the banking sector, including 10 years as a bank manager. At NBS Home Loans, our service extends far beyond simply obtaining loans for our clients; Beth liaises with all of our clients on an ongoing-basis throughout the entire life cycle of their loan to ensure that everything runs smoothly and our clients always stay on a sharp rate.

Liz joined NBS Home Loans in 2018, bringing with her a wealth of experience in loan administration and office management. While many brokers outsource their loan processing to external companies (which are often based overseas), all NBS Home Loans applications are processed in-house by Liz in our Seven Hills office, giving our clients extra peace of mind. Liz has a great eye for detail and loves working closely with clients to make the application process as efficient and smooth as possible.

How Did NBS Home Loans Come About?
Our CEO, Martin Walmsley has worked 20 years for the major banks got sick of the politics that came with working majors from a staff member’s point of view. He found the culture was toxic. Martin believed banks had lost sight of the client and put sales targets above customer service. Each sales staff member was more concerned about what they bring home in bonuses compared to actually looking after the client. The successful staff members according to banks success over the relationship. Since the Royal Commission changed pay structure standard and large bonuses – large base salaries with minimal bonuses, however, expect the same result from that salary.
21 Years Experience Across The Financial Sector
20+ years of experience in the retail banking sector (management mainly). Some project-based, home lending and home finance. Martin became a home finance expert. He acted in the role of the lender for two years. His experience was mainly in consumer lending; personal home asset not business loans at that time.

With over 20+ years of experience, Martin has been writing lending or overseeing lenders. Part of his roles in the past has been to mitigate the harder to place deals; working with credit managers in writing and managing credit scores, placing tricky loans that no one wants to deal with. Martin was renowned at Westpac because he would take on deals no one else wanted to. He rarely got vanilla deals. Martin specialises in self-employed lending USPs. “If Marty can’t get it approved, no one can”, they used to say. BankWest was known as ‘Mr Mortgage’.

If Martin declares bankruptcy or gets arrested he would lose this number and more than likely never hold again, therefore, he has a lot to lose if he does not trade with impeccable professional conduct in the financial market place.
